New Holland has upgraded its mid-range combines, significantly increasing their capacity and performance. The CX5000 and CX6000 Elevation combines share the distinctive styling, high output levels and excellent performance of New Holland’s flagship combines. The range offers four basic models, two 5-strawwalker and two 6-strawwalker; two Laterale versions for sustained performance on steep slopes; and the CX5090 Elevation Hillside for combining in severe hillside conditions.
“With these four upgraded models we re-affirm New Holland’s mid range offering as the top performer in its category with increased capacity, best-in-class performance in all conditions and all fields, crop to crop versatility, and low operating costs,” stated Hedley Cooper, Head of Combine Harvester Product Management.
The new CX5000 and 6000 Elevation range stands out for its flexibility and versatility. It offers a solution for all: from livestock farmers who want quality straw to contractors and cash crop farmers who can easily switch crops without compromising on performance and quality. And it consistently delivers best-in-class performance in all conditions: on flat fields, gentle or steep slopes, and in a wide variety of crops.
High capacity with new Triple-Clean shoe and extended field autonomy
The new Triple-Clean cleaning shoe is a simple and innovative feature that increases the combine’s cleaning capacity by as much as 15%. An extra cascade in the centre of the grain pan, where an additional air blast removes large volumes of chaff and short straw before final cleaning even starts on the main sieves. This means that the grain is almost completely cleaned in the first 50 cm of the cleaning shoe, resulting in excellent grain sample. This triple cascade approach maintains the highest quality of cleaning when the machine is working at its highest capacity.
On the biggest 6 strawwalker model a further increase in capacity is given by the new double flight cross auger that transfers grain to the elevator faster. This results in an increase in throughput of the grain elevator that can be as high as 10%.
The field autonomy of the CX5000 and CX6000 Elevation has been extended to match the combines’ increased capacity with bigger 670-litre fuel tanks and bigger grain tanks that have a capacity of 8300 litres for the 5 strawwalker and 9300 litres for the 6 strawwalker models.
Best-in-class versatility: innovative proven features deliver best performance in all conditions
CX5000 and 6000 Elevation combines reliably deliver best-in-class harvesting performance in all fields, all conditions, and all slopes thanks to New Holland innovative and proven features.
The AutoFloat II system automatically adjusts the pressure of the header lift system so that the pressure of the header on the ground remains constant whether the combine is moving on flat ground, uphill or downhill.
The OptiFan system adapts fan rpm when the slope changes, automatically ensuring a constant grain sample quality and cleaning capacity.
A choice of high-capacity and heavy-duty Varifeed™ headers with adjustable knife position for top cutting efficiency and correct feeding in all conditions. With a width of up to 30 feet or 9 meters, the headers are big enough to match the combines’ higher capacity.
Ease of operation with automation of all basic functions and IntelliView™ IV monitor
The performance of the CX5000 and CX6000 Elevation benefits from automatic functions such as Cruise Control, which resumes a set field speed at the simple tap of a button on the CommandGrip handle.
The new IntelliView IV monitor, with a 31 cm wide colour touch screen, enables operators to monitor all combine functions and control up to three cameras, further enhancing the excellent all-round visibility of the Discovery III cab.
These combines stand out for their crop-to-crop versatility, so operators will appreciate the new feature that shows Recommended Combine Settings on the screen, making crop settings and crop to crop transitions easier.
High quality residue management
The CX5000 and CX6000 high quality residue management meets the needs of the most demanding livestock and reduced tillage farmers. The unbroken high quality straw in the swath left by one of these combines is ideal for producing high quality bales with good bedding characteristics. The adjustable chaff spreading and improved chopper spread width result in an even distribution of crop residue.
Reduced soil compaction and increased flotation: soil preservation and better future yields
Bigger, low pressure and increased flexion steering and traction tyres are available for the CX5000 and CX6000 Elevation models, increasing flotation and consequently reducing ground compaction, preserving soil quality and protecting future yields.
