The Combined Powers autonomous project launched by Krone and Lemken in 2022 is being expanded following field trials.
A front linkage and PTO have been integrated, enabling two autonomously controlled implements to be used. For Krone, this means that a front and rear mower combination (such as the EasyCut F 320 and Butterfly EasyCut B 950 Collect) can be operated, while Lemken has utilised a combination of front tank and rear cultivator.
Further updates include an upgraded diesel-electric drive. The new generation retains the 230hp output, as well as four-wheel steering, but has been adapted to ease maintenance and optimise the sensor position. As seen at Agritechnica, the two companies have also introduced a transport solution, using a drawbar, that can be utilised even when a front implement is mounted.
The system uses open interfaces, facilitating dialogues with implement manufacturers for greater synergies and solutions for the customer. Tests are continuing in Germany and neighbouring countries.
