Figures released by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) show that for the sixth month in a row, UK tractor registrations have increased year-on-year. April 2021 saw 1,009 units registered, an increase of 11.1%, bringing the total for the year so far to 4,268 – 12.3% up on the same period in 2020.
The AEA notes that registrations in April 2020 were affected by Covid-19 disruption and that following a bumper figure in March 2021, the registrations recorded in April 2021 were actually below the medium-term average for this time of year. However, registrations from January to April 2021 are still 6% above the five-year average for the same period.
