Andrew Lazenby has been appointed as the new CEO for professional standards organisation, Basis.
A former CEO of the Royal Agricultural Society of England, and Innovation for Agriculture (IFA), Mr Lazenby will be responsible for growing and developing the charity, building and maintaining Basis core membership whilst developing new digital opportunities throughout the industry.
Mr Lazenby said: “In the current situation where we’re seeing a switch to regenerative agricultural practices and with ELMs appearing over the horizon there’s a huge opportunity for what BASIS does and what it can, and will, offer in the future.
“I have a history of developing and delivering growth for organisations so I’m excited to be involved in such an exciting charity at a pivotal time. There’s a fantastic team in place at BASIS and I very much look forward to working with them and growing the established team.”
Chairman of Basis Registration, William Burgess, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Andrew as he brings extensive expertise from his previous CEO roles and his proven track record for leadership in this sector will stand us in good stead.”
“We feel Andrew can take the charity forward and help us achieve our strategic and ambitious business goals.”
