Engine manufacturer, Cummins, has appointed two senior agriculture executives. David Atkinson has taken on the role of global off-highway support, while Phil Dawson has replaced Anne Schmelzer as global agriculture segment leader.
Mr Atkinson brings a high level of experience to the role and will have responsibility for the delivery of customer support to agricultural and construction clients. A significant part of the role will involve working closely with regional teams to offer tailored sales and post-sales support.
Mr Dawson has held numerous roles within Cummins’ off-highway European sales team. In addition to leading the agricultural business strategy, he will oversee the business’ global agricultural account teams, supporting customers such as Kubota, Buhler and Claas.
Eric Neal, executive director, global off-highway business, said: “Over the past several years, Cummins’ off-highway business has experienced strong growth, with David and Phil both being crucial to our success. The off-highway sector, specifically agriculture and construction, continues to operate with complex customer needs and these two appointments are a key part of our strategy to meet this demand for solutions.”
