Just 869 machines were registered in the month of June, a 23% drop year-on-year according to the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA).
The AEA notes that while monthly figures had remained close to the seasonal average, despite year-on-year reductions, June registrations were also significantly down from the five-year average.
It brings the total for 2024 to 5,882 machines, 13.2% lower than the same period in 2023. This is 8% below the five-year average and the lowest January-June total recorded since 2020.
