The Agricultural Engineers Association is reporting that tractor registrations in May 2022 were comfortably above last year’s level; the second month in a row where this has happened.
1,283 machines were registered, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%. This is the highest May figure since 2012 and comes despite the continued supply chain disruption.
Long lead times and the war in Ukraine have not helped the situation but the underlying strength of the market means that registrations for the year are now at 5,482 units, 2.1% above the 2021 figure for the same period.
