Cornish manufacturer Teagle used Lamma 2024 as a launching pad for the Tomahawk C120 Calibrator straw processor. It’s an update from the 2017 C12 model, which was designed for single-operator use and could process material down to an ultra-fine 5mm.
The new model has been developed to boost output further, increasing throughput to 15 tonnes per hour thanks to its wider, longer and stronger twin-ram conveyor and wider rotor housing. Efforts have also been made to enable the processing of damper materials, with an eye on the biogas market.
As an option, customers can still fit a grain milling hopper, which has also been updated to process 30 tonnes per hour.
Standard equipment includes sintered tungsten carbide hammers for durability, and automatic lubrication of the main driveline bearings and tub drive chain to keep maintenance at a minimum.
Components for the machine are now finished with a two-coat powder paint system, facilitated by a £2.5 million investment into the company’s facilities at Blackwater, near Truro.
