Pöttinger is celebrating 25 years of the Jumbo forage wagon, the first machine from the company to be designed entirely with 3D CAD software.
According to the company, it is now the global market leader in loader wagons, with an export quota of 90%.
The Jumbo 8000 was the first trailed machine to offer 25mm chop length and included other innovations, including the Easy Move swing-out knife bank. Beater rotors are used to loosen the crop, while the fully automated Autocut knife sharpening ensures consistent cutting quality.
While the Jumbo was designed for tractors with up to 280hp in 1999, the 7000 and 8000 series can be powered by tractors with a maximum of 500hp.
