Opico has expanded its tillage equipment portfolio by taking on the distribution of Ovlac ploughs and Alpego power harrows, drills, rotary cultivators and flail toppers.
Located in northern Spain, Ovlac has over 75 years of experience developing ploughs and is the country’s largest producer of soil engaging equipment. The company is also considered a specialist in shallow inversion ploughing.
Alongside its conventional range, available from three to nine furrows in mounted and semi-mounted layouts, Ovlac has developed the Mini shallow plough range, working at depths from 8cm to 20cm.
The Alpego range complements the addition of Ovlac, with the Italian company having specialised in one-pass establishment for more than 30 years. Before this, the company was known as Pegoraro Agricultural Construction, established in 1946 by Vittorio Pegoraro.
The lineup also includes a full range of flail toppers, multi-purpose seed and fertiliser hoppers, and rotovators. It also has a line of seed drills which can be mounted on tractors with a rear deck.
Visitors to the Cereals Event in June will be able to see the extended Opico lineup, which will then be on display at the Royal Highland and Royal Welsh shows.
