A new trailed Gaspardo precision drill has been introduced into the UK by OPICO, and is ideal for smaller tractors. The new Marisa is an 8-row drill with a hopper capable of carrying 1600 litres of bulk fertiliser. It has 4 land wheels which spread the weight of the drill as it turns on headlands, and its split-drive ensures good seed rate control is maintained around bends in a field.
The Marisa is available with or without microgranule applicators, and has a transport width of 3m – the outer 2 rows folding to the front of the drill.
The Marisa is fitted with an MTR heavy duty vacuum seed unit which includes very large opening discs. This feature is key to the machine’s accuracy and consistency, maintained even at high speeds. Its cast-iron parallelogram linkage ‘ARM STRONG’ makes it suitable for cultivated or minimum-tilled soils.
The trailed Marisa precision drill costs £62,041 with micro-granular applicators, or £58,777+VAT, without.
