John Deere is reporting that its 6R 185 is the most fuel-efficient sub-250hp tractor on the road, following a DLG PowerMix Transport Test 2.0.
In the test, the 6R 185 consumed just 355g/kWh of diesel and 14g/kWh of AdBlue. Depending on regional prices, this could offer users a cost saving of up to €2.00 per hour during transport.
The 6R 185 offers a low unladen weight of 7,900kg, with a maximum output of 234hp put to the ground with the AutoPowr transmission.
Previously, the company’s 6R 250 achieved the best PowerMix test values ever measured in the 250hp plus performance class. The test cycles involve driving under typical operating conditions with high and low loads.
