Sugar beet contractors and growers can expect to see new developments to Grimme’s range of self-propelled harvesters at Agritechnica 2015, including a more powerful engine for the Maxtron and the latest generation of walking share for the 6-, 8- and 9-row Rexor.
The Maxtron now has a 530 HP, a 6-cylinder Mercedes Benz engine (OM 471) with 12.8 litre capacity. The engine meets the latest exhaust emission standard stage IV and engine management developments have helped reduce fuel consumption in the field and also on the road.
Maxtron will also benefit from the new ErgoDrive operator armrest – a feature already used in the Rexor. Major control functions can now be programmed on the armrest joystick, leaving the touch-screen display view uninterrupted.
An option to help reduce unproductive time on the road for the Rexor 620 and 630 sees a 32 or 40 kmph drive speed.
All Grimme self-propelled harvesters are fitted with the efficient and economical LED lights as standard, ensuring a non-reflecting and wide illumination of the working area.
