The new Powerland Tachyon electric ATV will take centre stage on the Boss ORV stand at Lamma. Said to be one of the fastest 4×4 electric ATVs in the world, it can reportedly offer all of the benefits of a conventional machine without any damage to the environment.
Powered by lithium-ion batteries, the Tachyon features direct drive hub motors to achieve up to 50hp and 210Nm of torque. As there is no standard transmission, vibrations and heat build-up are also minimised, with no mechanical components meaning that maintenance is reduced.
Regenerative braking further helps to extend the battery life, while also providing hill descent control.
