After 26 years in business, PACE Mechanical Handling will make its Lamma debut, showcasing its range of automated packing solutions to farmers and vegetable packers.
On stand 952, in Hall 8, the company will highlight a range of robot palletisers, weighers, sack placers and stitchers.
Now appointed the sole UK and Eire importer, distributor and service partner to Spanish manufacturer TMI sl, and having completed its 250th installation, PACE director Nick Cesare explains that now is the ideal time to appear at Lamma.
“Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in enquiries and orders from packers and growers looking to increase efficiencies and cope with labour shortages,” said Mr Cesare.
“Historically, our business has grown due to word of mouth and recommendations from happy clients. This is still the case, but we feel that our partnership with TMI takes us to another level, and we’re keen to promote ourselves to growers and packers. Lamma is the perfect place to start doing that.”
Visitors can see the Ilerbox protection system for pallets, placing a layer of corrugated cardboard around the pallet ahead of stretch wrapping. According to PACE, it can reduce the number of workers required and lower the number of pallet boxes used.
“The Ilerbox system from TMI is unlike anything else available in the UK. We are very much looking forward to introducing it to people at Lamma. As well as Ilerbox, we will be showcasing our own range of robotic palletizing and mechanical handling solutions,” added Mr Cesare.
Thanks to PACE’s long-standing relationship with Motoman of Japan, the company also offers a range of robots, from pick and place to specialist heavy lifting models. For backup and installation, PACE has its own team of fabricators and software engineers.
