Scotgrass, which will be held on the 18th of May at SRUC Crichton Royal in Dumfries, will see the latest machines from Kubota.
Alongside the recently introduced M-series tractor ranges, the company will showcase the new BF3500 fixed chamber baler.
Designed for use in heavy silage conditions, the machine features an 18-roller chamber, with two rollers located at the base of the chamber to give additional support with heavy, wet silage bales.
The driveline has also been updated, including a split driveline with the chamber and feed rotor featuring 1.25-inch pitch drive chains. Chamber rollers run on 50mm diameter bearings, with double-row roller bearings used on all main load points.
A new 2.3m wide pick-up has been introduced and features a series of updates, including an extra tine on either side (facilitating the increased working width), and a new five-bar tine reel incorporating a cam track located at both ends.
Tine length has been increased by 10mm and the gap between the stripper plates has been reduced for improved performance in wet crops.
Capacity has been boosted with the introduction of a larger diameter intake rotor, with a revised drop floor system, which uses a rounded profile under the rotor and operates using a parallelogram action to extend clearance under the front and rear of the chamber.
Bales are tied using the PowerBind net injection system, which places the tail of the net directly into the bale chamber. The BF3500 is finished with a 15-knife SuperCut pre-chopping system and automatic lubrication.
Scotgrass will also see the first public showing of the Kubota BV Plus variable chamber baler range.
