On the 11th and 12th of June, Cereals will welcome visitors onto a brand new site. This year’s event will take place at Bygrave Woods, Newnham Farm in Hertfordshire, with kind permission from Alex Farr and his cousin Edward Wainright Lee.
The farm will host both Cereals, and the co-hosted event DirectDriller@Cereals, on 45 hectares of event ground – a significant diversification for the 900-hectare arable farm. The site comes complete with established trackways and amenities and so is well-placed to host the 20,000+ expected footfall.
“We love welcoming people to Bygrave Woods – it’s great to be the host farm for Cereals after attending it over the years,” said Alex. “The event offers such breadth of information and technology; the progress in robotic technology is always something that gets our attention – and it never gets old meeting new and old friends.”
As well as DirectDriller@Cereals, other new additions to the event include the Seed to Shelf stage, sponsored by KWS. This will trace the arable supply chain from seed to retail, with insights from plant breeders, agronomists, farm contractors and farmers, through to grain marketers, processors, retail brands and retailers. It is organised by Mark Allen Group, with editors from its various agricultural publications chairing each of the sessions.
Early bird tickets are now available at www.cerealsevent.co.uk, giving access to all areas and demonstrations. Additional tickets must be purchased for the DirectDriller@Cereals Conference Theatre.
