Amazone will debut the newest additions to its drill combination range, at this year’s Cereals event, June 8 and 9, in Cambridgeshire.
The latest additions to the range include the Centaya-C 3000 Super and the new shallow tine cultivator, the Cobra 6000-2TX, and the Ceus 3000 trailed disc and tine combination cultivator.
In the Sprays and Sprayers arena at Cereals, Amazone’s large capacity UX 8601 Super trailed sprayer will make an appearance. Along with the Pantera 4504 and the 3,5000l wrap around, fully-integrated front and back tank, UF 2002.
Cobra 6000-2TX
The new Cobra 6000-2TX tine cultivator comes in working widths of 6 and 7m. It consists of 8 rows of tines, with spacings of 13.3cm, a tip to tip clearance of 80cm and a frame height of 60cm.
The cultivator maintains depth control using the forward-mounted support wheels and the rear packer rollers; working on a parallelogram-guided system that links the front and back so that the rear rollers, or optional double harrow, provide an even ground pressure at all working depths.
The ECO leaf spring tines are equipped with either narrow points or duck foot shares. With the duck foot option, the tines have an overlap of nearly 9cm and a maximum working depth of 13cm.
Centaya-C Super
The new Centaya-C Super grain and fertiliser drill combination is available in a working width of 3, 3.5 and 4m. It’s 2,000l twin-chamber hopper is divided in a ratio of 60:40 or 70:30, as to apply several materials in a single pass. Additionally, it can be equipped with either the RoTeC pro single disc Coulter or the TwinTeC double disc Coulter.
The 400mm RoTeC pro coulter enables the application of two mediums utilising the single-shoot process. In this case, the individually metered media are brought together in the single disc coulter and fed to a single entry point using the same conveying system.
In conjunction with the TwinTeC double disc coulter, the Centaya-C Super can also apply two different seed types or seed and fertiliser at two different entry points, utilising the double-shoot process.
The Centaya-C Super can also be used in conjunction with the GreenDrill 200 catch crop drill for the simultaneous sowing of catch crops or fine seeds. This combination allows a third material to be applied to the soil surface via baffle plates. Here, the seed is fed directly from the 200l mounted hopper down to baffle plates behind the seed drill.
The QuickLink quick coupling system means that the Centaya-C Super harrow-mounted seed drill can be swiftly and easily connected to the various Amazone soil tillage implements; including the KE 02 rotary harrow models, the CombiDisc compact disc harrow for very light soils, or the KG and KX rotary cultivators.
Ceus 3000 disc & tine combination cultivator
Amazone’s new Ceus 3000-TX disc and tine combination cultivator is available in a working width of 3m, meaning it can be used with tractors from 150hp. It is equipped with the TX central running gear and has working speeds of up to 15km/h. Tines are spaced at 40cm and can be adjusted for a depth of 30cm.
The C-Mix Super tines are equipped with a pressure spring overload safety protection system, and can also be specified for the Ceus-TX. Here the trip force can be adjusted up to 800kg.
The tine segment is followed by a set of levelling tools, which can be equipped with separately adjustable smooth/serrated discs or spring tine levellers from choice.
UX 7601 and UX 8601 Super
The new UX 8601 Super is Amazone’s largest model of the 8,000 and 9,000l long body, single axle trailed sprayers, available in boom widths up to 42m. The chassis and drawbar are formed in one pieced, to keep the payload on the axle to within the legal limits by transferring weight from the spray tank onto the tractor rear axle.
Both the UX 7601 and 8601 Super utilise the new wet Amazone system, with its Comfort-Pack plus touch-screen control panel and 60l, high-capacity induction bowl – which has draw-out speeds of up to 200l/min
The Super-L3 boom is available in widths from 30 to 42m and uses ContourControl boom guidance and SwingStop vibration damping. The boom can be independently folded to navigate and will stay level and above the target, irrespective of how many sections are folded in on one side; when a section is folded, the section control sorts the nozzle switch off automatically.
The AmaSelect individual nozzle control means savings of up to 5% on the chemical bill as well as reduced lodging and no areas of weed resistance caused by under-dosing.
DirectInject
The DirectInject allows the injection of plant protection agents to be started or stopped during application, as required, so that the individual needs of a crop can be responded to.
DirectInject consists of an additional 50l tank with its own metering system, which is integrated into the storage compartment of the UX 01 Super on the right-hand side of the machine.
The DirectInject can work with undiluted plant protection agents; a mechanical agitator ensures that even plant protection agents, that tend to separate, remain homogeneous.
