Following the decision by Yorkshire Handlers to relinquish the Merlo franchise after 27 years and retire the business, Merlo UK has announced that Hardwick Agricultural Engineers will take on the portfolio.
“Yorkshire is a key agricultural county, where Merlo handlers have found favour across a wide range of farming operations. As such, we wanted to be sure to appoint a new dealer that could support those existing Merlo customers effectively, whilst further developing the sales of new Merlo products,” said Shaun Groom, general manager of Merlo UK.
Hardwick Agricultural Engineers is based at Brompton by Sawdon and will offer the full Merlo telehandler range, alongside Cingo tracked carriers and TreEmme attachments and forestry tractors.
The Hardwick team will be joined by Dane Robson, an experienced Merlo Technician from Yorkshire Handlers. Mr Robson will be a familiar face to many customers in the area.
Managing director of Hardwick Agricultural Engineers, Eric Hardwick, noted his excitement about adding the Merlo franchise: “We believe that the Merlo product range perfectly reflects our business ethos of supplying and servicing the highest quality machinery within the Yorkshire area.”
