Ancroft Tractors Ltd, headquartered in Berwick-upon-Tweed with another depot in Kelso, is celebrating 30 years as a Merlo dealer.
The achievement was recognised at Lamma, with managing director, Tom Brown being presented with an award by Merlo UK general manager Shaun Groom.
Ancroft Tractors was established in 1979 and now offers sales and servicing across Northumberland, the Scottish Borders, and Mid/East Lothian.
Shaun Groom said: “Ancroft Tractors have been selling Merlo products and supporting their customers since 1994. Only a year after Merlo UK was established in 1993, and two years before Merlo’s Turbofarmer range was launched.
“Ancroft Tractors were one of the first dealers in the UK to sell Merlo machines to the agricultural industry and over the past 30 years and they’ve witnessed Merlo’s continuous innovation and evolution—from the introduction of the Multifarmer in 2000 to the launch of Merlo’s Generation Zero electric telehandlers in 2021. Merlo owes Ancroft Tractors a debt of gratitude for their loyalty and support, and we are proud to count them as a valued Merlo dealer.”
Tom Brown added, “As a friendly, family owned-business, backed by the best parts, service and sales teams we have embraced new products and technologies and introduced them to our customers.
“It has been a privilege to work with Merlo for the past 30 years and we look forward to continuing this strong partnership in the future.”
