Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) has appointed Rebecca Rainnie (24) as a Knowledge Transfer Specialist, working in the organisation’s industry development team.
Ms Rainnie’s role will see her working on QMS projects delivering a range of activities aimed at assisting livestock farmers in Scotland to further improve their businesses’ efficiency, profitability and sustainability.
Brought up on a family farm in Aberdeenshire, Ms Rainne has a BSc Honours Degree in Rural Business Management from SRUC Aberdeen.
She has previously held a range of roles in the livestock sector in Scotland and most recently she worked with Harbro Ltd in Turriff, where was Marketing Co-ordinator.
Doug Bell, QMS Head of Industry Development, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rebecca to the QMS Industry Development team.
“As well as her knowledge of practical farming, Rebecca is also a great communicator and, I am sure, will make a strong contribution to the workload delivered by the team.”
