Finnish manufacturer Murska, distributed in the UK by Kelvin Cave, has developed a new hammer mill for growers looking to crimp feed grain into flour.
Using the same, established chassis as a base, the machine uses an easily adjustable hammer rotor which can be rotated 180deg as the hammers wear. Additionally, the hammers can be turned up to four times throughout the season before replacements are required.
The rotor can be fitted with a belt conveyor or a tube bagger, enabling milled flour to be stored after processing.
The amount of grain can be adjusted steplessly via a hydraulic control, with the resulting flour going through four sieves, which can be independently swapped out to change the consistency of the final product.
It’s available with the Murska Data control system, which helps control the mill, as well as any dosing of preservatives and additives. Additional accessories include a container stand for two 1,000-litre containers, pneumatic brakes and automatic lubrication.
A 1,000rpm PTO system is required, as well as a minimum of 268hp. For more information go to www.murska.fi
