Meadow Foods, the UK’s largest independent dairy, has announced that it will be increasing its milk price by +2.25ppl from 1st December, taking their standard A litre milk price to 24.40ppl. This is the sixth consecutive milk price increase from the company, which has seen its overall price increase by 7.40ppl since July.
In addition to this A litre price increase, Meadow Foods has confirmed that its B price for November will be increasing from the estimated price of 30ppl to a confirmed price of 32ppl. These increases further reflect positivity in the market and movement in the market back to more sustainable prices.
Simon Chantler, Executive Chairman at Meadow Foods, comments: “These recent increases reflect our policy of returning any milk price improvements as quickly as possible to our producers. We will continue to watch the market closely and hope to continue to move our price forward as soon as we can.”
Recently the company also announced that it had received a strategic investment from Paine & Partners, LLC (“Paine & Partners”), a leading global food and agribusiness investment firm, to support Meadow Foods’ strategy to grow the business through organic expansion and acquisitions.
Meadow Foods is the UK’s largest independently owned dairy group and leading supplier of milk based dairy ingredients to the food industry.
