Nominations are being sought for the dairy industry’s Cream Awards. Categories that will be of interest to veterinary practices include the Dairy Vet of the Year, for which vets can self-nominate, or be nominated by a dairy client.
The awards also offer a great opportunity to reinforce client relationships by recognising the efforts made by dairy farmers to improve herd health status by nominating dairy farmers in one or more of several categories including the high yield herd of the year, high herd fertility, or high feed conversion efficiency.
The Health and Welfare award, sponsored by Norbrook, recognises farms that have successfully taken a team approach to put in place effective herd health plans.
Most vets work in partnership with other professionals, such as nutritionists and there are categories to help celebrate those relationships with the Dairy Team of the Year, or to recognise individual contributions in the Dairy Nutritionist of the Year category.
Offering a unique opportunity to showcase best practice in the dairy industry, the Cream Awards allow dairy vets and farmers to be rewarded for their efforts and raise their profile within the dairy industry and beyond.
It’s easy to self-nominate or to nominate a client using the entry form at http://www.farmbusiness.cc/cream_awards_page.asp. The closing date is 1st June and the awards ceremony takes place in September.
