Vicon introduces new grouper butterfly mower

For the 2021 grass season, Vicon has introduced its widest butterfly mower conditioner, the 7100T in the BX specification with a belt-type swath grouper. Choosing the BX version means that when working in combination with a Vicon Extra 732FT front-mounted mower conditioner, the full 10.2m cutting width can be placed into one central row.

For greater versatility, the BX swathers can be lifted out of work to leave three individual swathes, or the crop can be spread out across the working width using the 7100T’s integral spreading hoods.

The adoption of quick-release couplers and multi-couplers for hydraulic and ISOBUS connections enables the swath groupers to be easily removed or refitted in around 20-30 minutes. To make this process easier, four large plastic wheels are attached to each BX unit. With the ISOBUS connectivity, the system recognises when the groupers are attached and automatically brings them into play on the terminal.

As standard, the 7100T features three-bladed discs with quick-change blades, a semi-swing steel tine conditioner with five levels of intensity, and Quattro-Link suspension with adjustable ground pressure. Equipped with load-sensing hydraulics and ISOBUS control, the Vicon 7100T BX is priced from £69,883.
