The Very High Flexion (VF) CombineMaster tyre range from Continental will now be available in 620/70 R26 and 750/65 R26, extending the range to five models.
“The new tyre sizes are designed for the steering axles of harvesters and for all positions on loader wheels. The HexaBead technology helps the tyre to grip the rim at lower pressures which can help to reduce soil compaction,” said Continental agricultural tyre specialist, Richard Hutchins.
Designed to offer 40% increased load at standard pressures, or a comparable load at 40% reduced pressure., the CombineMaster also has to handle cyclical loads in the field and higher road speeds. VF technology can help farmers control compaction issues without sacrificing load capacity.
Continental tyres also feature N.flex technology to keep the tyre’s shape after impacts, or when running at high temperatures. The d.fine lug design also helps reduce vibrations on the road. These are combined with the HexaBead bead, which offers substantial core strength according to the company.
“The HexaBead core design also maximises the load capacity of the carcass. The technology was developed specifically for combine front tyres and loaders and ensures high torque transfer from the rim to the tyre,” Mr Hutchins added.
