Case has extended its Farmall range of tractors with the new 90hp 90 A and 100hp 100 A machines, designed for small and medium mixed farms, as well as specialist livestock enterprises and smallholdings.
They are powered by a new four-cylinder, 3.6-litre FPT F5 engine, with torque levels of 380Nm and 450Nm available at 1,300rpm and a 47% torque rise for high load situations.
Power is transmitted through a 12×12 40kph mechanical transmission, with the option of a hydraulically actuated powershuttle. A creeper box can also be specified if required.
Four-wheel drive models feature a Class 1.0 heavy-duty front axle with an electro-hydraulic differential lock and adjustment-free, annular disc brakes. It’s also possible to specify the automatic engagement of the four-wheel drive under braking.
The rear linkage has a capacity of 4,400kg, with the Case Lift-O-Matic system to quickly raise and lower the implements. A mechanical front linkage is available as an option, lifting 1,400kg, as is an Extra Flow open-centre pump for 82 litres per minute hydraulic flow.
Both models can be factory specified with loader-ready brackets and hydraulics and the new cabin can be equipped with a roof hatch to improve overhead visibility.
Edoardo Ronco, Case IH product manager responsible for the Farmall A range, said: “The new Farmall 90 A and Farmall 100 A are significant new introductions for Case IH in this important sector of the market. Both incorporate significant benefits which make them more productive, more cost-effective and more comfortable to operate.”
