Developed to meet the precision farming and technological demands, the new generation Optum 300 CVXDrive AFS Connect is powered by a Stage 5, FPT Industrial N67 engine for a maximum output of 313hp. Torque levels can reach 1,282Nm at 1,400rpm and the engine meets emission regulations through the patented Hi-eSCR 2 system.
Power is put to the ground via the stepless CVXDrive transmission, developed by Case and capable of 50kph at 1,600rpm. Wet disc brakes are fitted to the front and rear axles, with dual-line hydraulic or pneumatic trailer brakes available.
Closed centre, load sensing hydraulics are standard, offering 165 litres per minute, with the option to upgrade to 220 litres, delivered through up to five rear spools and a maximum of three mid-mounts. Power Beyond is also available. The maximum lift capacity at the rear is 11,058kg, with the option of a front linkage lifting 6,016kg.
Into the cabin, which is dampened by passive mechanical suspension or, as an option, a semi-active electro-hydraulic system. The front axle is suspended via a hydro-pneumatic system, and operator comfort is further enhanced by an automated heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, with zone control, and a noise level said to be just 66 dB.
Key to the AFS Connect range is the availability of precision farming systems. Starting with the AFS Connect fleet and field data system, it also offers full ISOBUS connectivity, headland management, the automatic headland turning Accuturn system and the company’s advanced trailer brake system, which applies the trailer brakes proportionally when the tractor decelerates.
