One of the largest tractor manufacturers in the world, and a first-time entry into the Tractor of the Year competition, Tafe introduced the 7515.
It’s powered by a 74hp engine that feeds into an HML transmission, with four synchronised gears in each range. At the back is a 2,400kg capacity rear linkage, with two spool valves offering an output of 40 litres/min.
It would be fair to say, however, that the company really wanted to discuss its new Android-based precision farming system. The Tafe Terra system connects has a user-friendly onboard and offboard interface, with scalable features starting with simple task management and extending to a full farm management system.
While it is designed to fit Tafe machines, it is brand agnostic and can be fitted to any make of tractor. Not only that but it can be integrated with third party software for a full overview of farm data.
It’s backed up with a series of Tafe-designed hardware, including a retrofit electronic steering wheel and GPS system which can be specified to an RTK correction signal; Tafe Grid telematics which links to the Terra onboard and offboard platforms; the Horizon smartphone and computer software for monitoring collected data; and, finally, the retrofit TFT digital cluster, acting as a dashboard and monitor to control precision software from the tractor.
