The electrically driven E-Astral from Ferrari can be specified down to just over a metre wide, making it ideal for specialist vineyard and orchard work.
It’s transmission motor provides a continuous output of 12.5kW, peaking at 25kW, with up to 140Nm of torque available, feeding a 12×12 mechanical gearbox that can propel the tractor forward at up to 35kph.
This motor runs alongside an independent 16kW motor for the hydraulics. The open centre system provides up to 26 litres/min as standard, with the option of a 34-litre system. This feeds up to seven spools, as well as powering the 1,200kg capacity rear linkage.
As standard, the electrohydraulic PTO runs at 540rpm, with an Eco mode integrated.
Ferrari states that the average runtime of the E-Astral is between three and four hours, though this will depend on the application.
The battery has a capacity of 36kWh, with charging times from 20% up to 80% ranging from two hours up to eight hours depending on the power supply.
The cabin comes with mechanical suspension and automatic heating and air conditioning. The company adds that the noise level is below 60dBA thanks to the electric power source.
It also has a reversible driving position, enabling the driver’s seat and controls to be rotated through 180deg.
