The latest generation of Puma machines has received a series of updates, with the flagship model producing 260hp from the FPT engine, increasing to 280hp maximum power, and boosting to 302hp. Massive torque levels of 1,249Nm can be reached at just 1,500rpm thanks to e-VGT (variable geometry turbo).
It’s only available with the company’s proven CVXDrive continuously variable transmission, which uses a double-clutch system and four points of mechanical efficiency to maximise power transfer.
Case has also integrated the Auto Productivity Management system, which constantly adjusts the ratio between engine speed and the CVT to maintain performance in all conditions.
The ASF Connect designation means that it can be specified with the very latest precision farming systems. The updated cabin contains the 12in Pro 1200 display, mounted on the armrest alongside configurable controls. A new four-point suspension system has also been fitted, said to reduce cab pitch by up to 12%.
Other features added into the Advance Trailer Brake, which activates the trailer’s brakes before the tractors, working with the engine exhaust brake to limit the risk of jack-knifing.
When working in the field, the Vector Pro receiver is said to improve path to path accuracy, while the auto steering software can be updated with AccuTurn Pro for fully automated headland turns.
The tractor is fully Isobus compatible, and can be used with tractor implement management when working with compatible equipment.
