One of the largest tractors to ever take part in the competition, the Case IH Quadtrac is powered by an FPT Cursor 16 engine, with an output of 778hp and 3,356Nm of torque.
To keep this running for the longest possible time, a huge 1,968-litre fuel tank has been mounted.
It’s linked to the PowerDrive powershift transmission, which can reportedly move through the gears without any torque interruption, along with Skip Shift to skip gears and reach the maximum speed as quickly as possible.
Work has been done to the articulation point, with a large top link that links the front frame to the very rear of the machine, enabling stresses to be transferred and ensuring that implements are pulled from the centre of the machine for the best possible power transfer.
The centre point can also oscillate 26deg longitudinally, which works with the independently mounted track systems that have 10deg of vertical movement.
Speaking of the track systems, these have been updated with a heavy-duty hydraulic suspension system, with independent suspension at the idlers.
Compared to the current generation, the drive wheel has been increased in size, along with the length of the track to ensure a longer working live, and automatic tensioning has been integrated.
It’s completed with a full range of AFS Connect precision farming systems.
