The new DoubleFlow linkage option for trailing shoe applicators from Vogelsang will enable operators to halve the row spacing from 25cm to 12.5cm, doubling the surface area without impacting forward speed.
“The DoubleFlow runner divides the drop hose into two outlets, using a Y-shaped piece, which splits the row spacing when spreading liquid manure to enable operators to cover more ground with a narrower spreading belt,” said Vogelsang’s Andy Hayhurst.
It is said to be easy to retrofit and can be equipped to the UniSpread and BlackBird applicators from May 2024. The design allows it to fit the flow-optimised PrecisionFlow nozzles, which Andy suggests is one of the reasons that the company’s applicators are growing in popularity.
The Vogelsang trailing shoes also feature a new runner design made with Hardox steel blades and wear-resistant plastic.
“The steel blades can be replaced individually. Operators will also benefit from the long service life of the applicators and low cost of spare parts,” concluded Andy.
