Opico has announced that it will showcase a new HE-VA Compact Grass Rejuvenator at AgriScot, taking place on the 13th of November.
The company states that it expects livestock farmers to carry out much needed reseeding of pastures in the spring, following another difficult year.
HE-VA’s Compact Grass Rejuvenator is said to provide one-pass reseeding in cultivated ground, or direct into existing leys. In addition to this, it can level the ground and aerate and dethatch pastures to improve nutrient uptake.
It has a 2.9m working width, with an aggressive shattaboard, fitted with slicing plates, two rows of heavy-duty harrow tines, a Stocks Ag Rotor Jet 130 seeding unit and a 450 or 500mm Star Ring Roller.
While retaining the same design as the larger units, the Compact model is 400mm shorter and has a horsepower requirement of between 80 and 120hp.
“The HE-VA Compact Grass Rejuvenator has been designed with the livestock farmer in mind, and is perfectly designed to over-seed tired grassland or establish new leys using medium sized tractors,” explains Glenn Bootman, HE-VA product manager.
