A new generation of the DSX no-till disc drill has been announced by Horizon Agricultural Machinery, available in five models with working widths of 4m, 4.8m, 5m, 6m and 7.2m.
Pricing is said to be the same as the previous generation, however, several updates have been integrated across both the frame and the row units. The new DSX row units can be specified with row cleaners and are available in a range of spacings between 15cm and 25cm, with the narrowest rows designed for customers baling their straw.
The 4,700-litre pressurised hopper is split 60/40 for seed and fertiliser application, with an additional option to apply liquid fertiliser if required. Customers can mount the GH400 400-litre granular hopper to sow a third product.
Two machines are already destined for customers in the UK, with machines also heading to Spain and New Zealand. It’s available now for delivery in the spring.
