Sky Agriculture, which announced recently that it would handle sales to the UK directly, has announced a new front tank system, available with two, three or four hoppers for the simultaneous application of multiple products.
The Progress TF is said to be the first front hopper to handle this many products and is fully ISOBUS-controlled through a single interface. A combination of multiple seeds, fertiliser and slug pellets (as an example) is distributed through two independent air circuits, enabling the dosage of each product to be adjusted up to 60kg/min and two seeding depths to be used.
As an option, the unit can be fitted with a front-packer, with two large diameter wheels to provide good performance even in wet conditions. A quick-hitch system means that this can be detached as required.
Two side cameras are included in the standard fitment, enabling operators to see oncoming traffic at junctions, or when pulling out of the field. A complete package of work lights is also available.
Like the rest of the seeding range from Sky Agriculture, the Progress TF can be optionally equipped with the EDrive system, enabling in-cab opening and closing of each row for tramlining. With the new CCI terminal, this system can also be automated.
The capacity of the front hopper can be specified between 2,200 litres and 2,400 litres, with a sloping design to provide a clear view to the front of the machine. For further ease of use, Sky has developed a single attachment point to simplify maintenance work, which also ensures a constant angle between the hopper and the side-mounted pipe.
The Progress TF can be combined with the full range of Sky drills, as well as the Methys cultivator range. It can also be used alongside a single-seed drill or mechanical hoe.
