Stihl has introduced its Advance ProCom X-Vent, integrating the Advance ProCom headset into its X-Vent safety helmet to provide high quality communication, as well as ear and head protection.
The communications system can link to up to 16 other users and has a range of 600m, depending on the terrain. When more than two are in use, each headset acts as a repeater to extend the range.
It features an ambient mode, allowing users to hear and react to potential dangers around them, with automatic deactivation when loud noises are detected.
The design includes hardwearing head protecting, complete with reflective strips, and a spring steel mesh visor which allows up to 80% light visibility. It comes with a ratchet adjustment headband and a twist lock to adjust the size.
Users can also benefit from smartphone voice assistance, an integrated FM radio and app customisation. It also offers both open-mic and push-to-talk modes to suit the level of communication required.
