Develon has announced the new DX17Z-7 and DX19-7 mini-excavators, both powered by a Kubota D902 engine offering a 20% increased power of 16.2hp and a maximum torque of 54.6Nm, available at 1,900rpm.
It features the new global platform for the company’s excavator range, with upgraded design and upper structures to reportedly offer greater durability and robustness.
Both units have a standard 1.75m boom and a 1.03m arm, with the option of a 1.23m arm. The DX17Z-7 also features a 180kg cast counterweight, with an additional 85kg counterweight available with the longer arm. Notably, the tail swing for this model has been reduced by 6.5% to just 645mm, increasing to 720mm with the additional weight.
Front assemblies include cylinder guards and an optimised hydraulic hose layout which runs through and is protected by the boom structure.
One- and two-way proportional control is standard, with flow control via a thumbwheel on the right hand joystick. Quick-coupler piping is also available, with simple switchover from the cab.
Both machines are equipped with retractable tracks, reducing the width between the tracks from 1290mm to 994mm and both have a foldable blade.
The DX17Z-7 is available as a canopy machine, while the DX19-7 can be specified with a cabin if required. Both share a common control platform.
