Encouraging consumers to buy British for their barbecues this summer, AHDB’s ‘Love BBQ’ campaign is back with a month-long celebration of barbecued meat from May 1 to June 4.

British households are expected to celebrate the King’s Coronation and the three May bank holidays with garden gatherings and the ‘Love BBQ’ campaign offers a range of delicious recipes to spice up the menu.

In addition to the recipes, the campaign provides tips and tricks for successful BBQ hosting with a ’10 BBQ hacks you need to try’ blog. The guidance gives suggestions on preparation, flavouring and taking the taste to the next level.

Butchers, farm shops and meat box sellers can order free point-of-sale merchandise for the summer season, including posters and recipe leaflets.

AHDB’s head of marketing, Carrie McDermid, said: “We are excited to see the return of our ‘Love BBQ’ campaign in May, which will celebrate the taste and ease of British meat at barbecues.

“We know that Brits love a barbecue and over the month of May, there will be multiple reasons for people to come together, fire up the grill and enjoy the great taste of our beef, lamb and pork recipes.”

Consumers can indulge in some delicious British meat and feast at home. Visit AHDB’s Lovepork.co.uk for pork recipes and simplybeefandlamb.co.uk for beef and lamb recipes.
