Kverneland Group has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in French manufacturer BC Technique SAS. The company produces the Phenix Agrosystem brand of inter-row cultivators, rotary hoes, guidance interfaces and tine harrows.
The acquisition provides access to a range of sustainable farming solutions, enabling growers to achieve efficient and accurate mechanical weeding control. The Phenix brand will continue to be available in existing markets, while products will be introduced in the Kverneland livery across the wider dealer network.
The portfolio includes the Helios star-wheel rotary hoe, the Lynx guidance interface with colour scanning self-steering camera and the X-Green guidance interface, which can be used in conjunction with two colour-scanning cameras.
It also features the Onyx range of tine hoes from 3m to 12m, which can be specified with ISOBUS-controlled automatic raising and lowering of the individual tools. The Onyx can be used in conventionally spaced cereal crops.
The first models are expected in Spring 2023.
