German machinery manufacturer Strautmann has announced that a Flex-Load option will be available for all its forage wagons, as of 2023. Currently, Flex-Load is fitted as standard on all Magnon machines.
The Flex-Load pick-up is the result of Strautmann’s experience in the field of silage wagons. The polyurethane plastic tines easily move with ground undulations, instead of penetrating the soil – to reduce the likelihood of soil and stone contamination in the wagon’s cutting unit. The polyurethane plastic also minimises tine wear and breakage, while being gentle enough for all crop conditions.
The Flex-Load also features an easy tine replacement system which does not require the removal of the pick-up bands. Plus, Strautmann’s forage wagons are designed with cam-less pick-ups for flexibility over the wagon’s working width – to reduce wear and machine downtime and increase fuel savings.
David Mein, OPICO’s product specialist for the Strautmann range, said: “I’ve been really impressed with the Flex-Load pick-up – it does a really efficient job, and the flexibility of the tines means that foreign objects aren’t collected with the grass – since using Flex-Load I haven’t seen a tine break yet.”
Flex-Load will be on display at the LAMMA 2023 show in January, on the OPICO stand in Hall 6.
