The latest Fortis AS cultivator from Horsch has been developed for tractors up to 600hp, with working widths of 6m and 7m, working down between 4cm and 30cm. Depending on requirements, the operator can manoeuvre the machine on the packer or on the chassis, with the changeover carried out via a three-way valve.
A range of packers are available, each with the option to be connected rigidly to the frame or pre-tensioned hydraulically. In the pre-tensioned option, the weight of the front packer roller can be transferred to the rear roller to prevent sinking on lighter soils.
For a consistent levelling quality, the fourth bar has been placed further back to ensure enough loose earth in front of the levelling discs. Tines are spaced at 27cm to offer full ground coverage at shallow or deep working depths.
Single or double front support wheels offer precise soil adaption, with depth adjustment available via a proven clip system or hydraulically from the cabin. Completing the Fortis is an integrated traction reinforcement system which transfers up to 1.2 tonnes to the rear axle of the tractor.
