Bobcat has introduced the newest additions to its R-Series range of products with the new compact TL25.60 telehandler and S86 skid-steer and T86 compact track loaders. A complementary version of the TL25.60 aimed at the agricultural market will be launched in 2023.
The TL25.60 super compact telehandler
The TL25.60 compact telehandler is Bobcat’s smallest machine in the R-Series rang. Powered by a 75hp Bobcat engine, the telehandler has a rated operating capacity of 2,500kg, offers a maximum lift height of 5.91m and a maximum reach of 3.31m.
This compact telehandler’s manual or hydraulic Bob-Tach carriage also increases the machine’s versatility, as attachments designed for the Bobcat loader range can be used. The model includes the smart tech functions of the larger telehandler models too, such as flex drive, bucket shaking and boom flotation functions.
The TL25.60 also features the same cab as the larger Bobcat telehandlers, for optimum operator comfort. Features of the cab include a new 5-inch LCD display; air suspension seating; an optional tilting and telescopic steering column; and a 90° opening door and low entry step. The dashboard has been redesigned too, for better operator visibility. Plus, the TL25.60’s engine hood has been designed to maximise visibility on the right hand side of the machine – for easier vehicle servicing.
The TL25.60 has a tough design with a robust frame and boom for working in all environments. The shielded design provides protection for hydraulic and electrical components (including the pipes, harness and transmission) and a steel plate protects the base of the machine. The TL25.60 has a box section layout and significant ground clearance as well.
The compact S86 skid-steer and T86 track loaders
The new S86 and T86 loaders are the most powerful compact loaders that Bobcat has ever produced. Both loaders feature a 3.4-litre, 105hp, 2600 RPM Bobcat engine, which is mounted in-line with direct drive to improve the cooling capacity of the engine and hydraulic components.
The S86 has a tipping load of 3,175kg, a rated operating capacity of 1,587kg and an operating weight of 4,536kg; the T86’s tipping load is 5,087kg, it has a rated operating capacity of 1,780kg, and an operating weight of 5,643kg.
The S86 and T86 loaders can offer the option of three different auxiliary flow outputs for the first time, thanks to the Electronic Displacement Control Pump: a standard flow configuration providing 87l/min; a High Flow function for 138l/min; and a Super Flow function for an auxiliary flow of 159l/min. The High Flow and Super Flow functions come integrated with Bobcat’s attachment control device (ACD).
Both new loaders feature a Five Coupler Block, so the operator can attach standard or High Flow attachments from one common source, to the smaller sized 0.5-inch quick couplers or 0.75-inch Super Flow couplers (for maximum performance and productivity). The S86 and T86’s equipped with High and Super Flow also have Power Bob-Tach Attachment systems as standard.
Bobcat’s loader product manager John Chattaway said the Super Flow function can even improve certain attachments’ productivity by 20%.
The new S86 and T86 workgroup design increases the machine’s lifting, carrying and reaching abilities. A new workgroup geometry improves lifting capability throughout the lift arm’s range of motion, which, when combined with the high hydraulic performance and the lighter and stronger cast-steel lift arm sections, offers higher capacity throughout the lift cycle – even at full height.
Bobcat Horsepower Management; Speed Management; Counterweight Ready and Dual-Direction Bucket Positioning all come as standard on the S86 and T86. 5-Link Torsion Suspension Undercarriage; Automatic Ride Control; and Reversible Cooling Fans are optional additions to the loaders.
The loader’s cabs have also undergone significant improvements, for increased operator comfort and machine usability. There are now lower noise and vibration levels within the one-piece sealed and pressurised cab, plus SJC controls as standard. The cab includes an HVAC system and rear-view camera as standard, and has better operator visibility, plus a Clear Side cab option whereby 75% of the side windows are mesh-free.
In addition to the standard 5-inch in-cab display, Bobcat offers an optional advanced 7-inch display that provides detailed machine information and device connectivity.
