The final tractor in the competition is the Valtra T235 Direct, powered by a 220hp engine which boosts to 250hp. Torque levels are 930Nm, available at 1,500rpm, and the engine meets Stage V emissions regulations with a combination of SCR, DPF and DOC.
Power is put to the ground via the Direct stepless transmission and at the rear there is a closed centre, load sensing hydraulic system producing 115 litres per minute, with the option to increase this to 200 litres. Up to seven spools can be fitted at the rear, with a maximum of four at the front, with linkage capacities of 9,500kg and 5,100kg.
Mechanical or pneumatic cab suspension is available, alongside pneumatic front axle suspension. In the cabin, the operator’s chair is heated, cooled, self-adjusting and can be turned 180 degrees, whilst also being pneumatically dampened. For added comfort, there’s also manual or automatic air conditioning and the noise level is said to be 70dB.
Fleet management is integrated and the tractor is ISOBUS compatible and can be equipped with a host of precision farming systems. Through the Valtra Unlimited Studio it’s also possible to specify a central tyre inflation system, alongside a range of specialised options to adapt the tractor to a range of tasks.
