Following last months announcement that Agricast had invested £150,000 in new machinery, the company has now launched a new website. The site is said to offer greater e-commerce functionality, as well as information on over 950 wearing parts and foreign language translation to help expand the export side of the business.
“Over the last couple of years, we have seen traffic to our website grow dramatically, we’ve enjoyed an increase in enquiries from the site and from our digital marketing activity as a whole,” said William Robinson, Agricast’s managing director. “We have always intended to have a full e-commerce site, and this new website is another step towards that goal.”
At present, visitors can not make purchases online, but they will be able to add parts to their basket and request a tailored quote for the products they want to buy. Full purchasing functionality will be trialled with selected users after they have created an account with the site.
The site is currently tailored to English speaking countries, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
“We have enjoyed two record-breaking years with UK sales higher than forecasted, which is great, and we very much appreciate the repeat business our customers continue to give us,” added Mr Robinson. “We have also seen an increase in enquiries and orders from overseas and are delighted to have secured support from the Department for International Trade, which will enable us to increase our overseas marketing activity.”
