Extending the DL-7 range of wheeled loaders, Doosan has launched two new models, the DL220-7 and DL250-7. Like the seven existing models, launched in December 2020, these feature a Doosan Stage V engine offering outputs of 160hp and 172hp respectively and reportedly increasing fuel efficiency by 5%.
Charlie Park, CEO of Doosan Infracore Europe, said: “We have been delighted with the reception we received for the launch of the first seven models in the DL-7 wheel loader range at the end of last year. The new DL220-7 and DL250-7 provide all of the same innovations provided by the larger models ensuring market-leading operator comfort, fuel economy, productivity and durability.”
Both machines are equipped with a four-speed powershift transmission, with limited slip differential axles as standard. This can be upgraded to a five-speed gearbox, with lock-up torque converter and heavy duty axles with differential hydraulic lock.
As standard, the new models come with a third spool valve with a settable flow and detent function, providing a constant flow to hydraulically driven attachments, with the option of a fourth spool valve. Operators can control hydraulic attachments via a proportional switch on the joystick.
The new wheeled loaders can be ordered with a 300kg counterweight and the standard bucket capacities are 2.3 or 2.5 cubic metres. The Z-kinematic arm delivers high breakout forces and lifting capacities, with a large dump angle for handling sticky materials. It can also be specified as a high-lift machine.
The Load Isolation System provides a smoother ride and higher productivity due to improved stability. The lift arm is cushioned by a hydro-pneumatic accumulator linked to the hydraulic system, which acts as a shock absorber.
The cabin has been redesigned with minimised blind spots and a 14% larger glass window area compared to the DL-5 models. Electric mirrors are available as an option and a full LED light package is fitted as standard, with the option of additional lights if required. An air compressor can also be fitted to ease daily maintenance and cleaning.
Keyless machine start is included, as is the Grammer Actimo XXL seat with fully adjustable vertical and horizontal suspension settings. The latest Electric Main Control Valve joystick is integrated into the armrest for precise control of the lift arms and attachments, with a host of automatic functions.
Also featured is a touchscreen with rear camera feed, climate control settings and radio and Bluetooth control.
A new feature is the Doosan Smart Guidance System which analyses the driving habits of the operator and helps them improve fuel efficiency. It provides a score and guide of the driving pattern to show fuel economy, efficiency and durability.
Finally, the DL220-7 and DL250-7 wheeled loaders are factory-installed with the latest DoosanCONNECT fleet monitoring system. The DoosanCONNECT system is a tool designed specifically for the Doosan range, providing comprehensive information about machine performance in a dual-mode (satellite, mobile network).
The DoosanCONNECT system offers a web-based fleet and asset management solution which is very useful for managing the performance and security of machines and promoting preventative maintenance.
