Figures from the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) show that UK registrations for agricultural tractors over 50hp remained close to the average for the time of year in February.
At 594 units, the total was slightly higher than in February 2020, increasing by 2.8%. This is the smallest year-on-year increase we’ve seen since October but the AEA points out that February last year saw solid growth, unlike much of the first half of 2020.
Registrations in February 2021 were 9% above the five-year average and represents the highest February figure since 2017.
The total for the first two months of 2021 now stands at 1,174 machines, 8.8% higher than the same period in 2020.
