Meadow Foods has announced that it will be increasing its milk price by +1ppl in September, taking their standard A litre milk price to 20ppl. In addition to this A litre price increase, Meadow Foods has announced an increase to its B price for August to 22ppl, an increase of 10.75ppl in the last three months. Meadow Foods also estimate that the B price for September will be no lower than 25ppl.
Simon Chantler, Executive Chairman at Meadow Foods, comments: “We are delighted to announce for the third consecutive month that Meadow Foods is increasing its A litre price. Although we appreciate that these increases do not yet return producers to sustainable prices, we hope the current positivity in the market continues and that we are able to continue to return any improvements as quickly as possible to our producers.”
Earlier this month, Meadow Foods also announced that they had written to farmers to reassure them that the company would not be penalizing them for any under supply during these challenging times.
Meadow Foods is the UK’s largest independently owned dairy group and leading supplier of milk based dairy ingredients to the food industry.
