Reginald Huntley appeared on BBC1’s The One Show this week to give viewers a motivational ‘Back To Work’ Christmas message. Reg celebrated his 96th birthday in December and still puts in a 40-hour week at Kent Wool Growers, Ashford. With no plans to retire, Reginald has been travelling 250 miles a week around Kent selling farm medical and agricultural supplies for Kent Wool Growers for the past three years. Reg looks after 300 KWG clients, and said he still gets a real buzz out of getting a sale. As to the key ingredients that make a good rep, Reg said: It’s not complicated, just be truthful all the time, be reliable, know your products, sell the benefits and your customers will stay with you. He had previously set up and run his own company for more than 40 years RK Huntley Vet Pharmaceuticals selling medical and agricultural products. Reg lives in Stelling Minnis with his wife Patricia – a farmer’s daughter > and is the proud father of Alison and David, who retired two years ago. He also has two grandchildren. Peter Holmes, managing director, said: “He is a great asset to the company and a role model for society, we’re very proud of his achievements . “We can all take a valuable lesson from Reg’s passion for life and business.”
