2025 registrations were off to a slow start again, according to figures released by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA).
A total of 462 machines were registered in January, 3% less than the same month in 2024 and 20% below the seasonal average. It is the second year in a row that registrations have been significantly below the average.
The AEA states that it is the slowest start to the year since 1999.
However, the opening couple of months are generally quieter for registrations, and this follows a stronger December figure, making it difficult to speculate on market developments.
